"Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back."
- Harvey Mckay

TIME
Time, in broad terms, is defined as the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present and future regarded as a whole.
Lately I feel like I don’t have enough time in the day to fulfill both my obligations and doing stuff I want to for myself. I know I’m not alone in wishing there were all the time in the world to accomplish things.
Aware that the concept of time is viewed differently across various cultures, I want to open up a conversation this week about this topic. What does time mean to you? How do you spend your time and for what purpose?

Stuart Scott received the 2014 ESPYS Perseverance Award. The video shares his moving story of Perseverance. After receiving his award, he made a pretty powerful statement within his speech which stood out to me. I’ve highlighted it for you here:

"I also realized something else recently… I said I’m not loosing. I’m still here. I’m fighting. I’m not loosing. But I got to amend that. When you die, it does not mean that you loose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and in the manner in which you live. So live! Live! Fight like hell! And when you get too tired to fight, then lay down, rest and let somebody else fight for you.”

Sometimes life throws us a curve ball that is a game changer. It can present new obstacles that often distract us from what is important to us. But it can also shift our focus to what’s truly important and serve to motivate us further.
If something is really important to you, work hard at it no matter how difficult it is, how much time it takes or how much you struggle on it. If it truly means all that much to you, you won’t give up on it. With patience and hard work, your perseverance will pay off and the reward will be great!
