I can testify that the statement above is true. A lot of the things I have accomplished began as daydreams. It usually starts with a simple idea that crosses my mind. If I feel the idea is worth developing, then I imagine various scenarios that could take place. I pick my favorite or best scenario possible and begin to daydream about how things will take place. Note that I used the word will rather than might. Thinking with determination increases the chances of actually working on an idea and achieving it.
I find daydreaming to be a great motivational tool, because it provides a vivid visual of the things I want to accomplish. It is the first step I take in making plans. To illustrate how I use daydreams to accomplish goals, I will use the following analogy:
